In 2007, CME started as a 3TU education programme combining engineering and management skills. Today, Construction Management and Engineering (CME) is a two-year, 120 EC interfaculty 4TU master’s programme taught in English. The leading faculty is Civil Engineering and Geosciences (CEG), in collaboration with Technology, Policy and Management (TPM) and Architecture and the Built Environment (ABE).
Programme Structure
The CME master’s curriculum consists of four parts:
- Core Curriculum — compulsory courses and ethics courses
- Graduation Domain courses — depending on your chosen specialization
- General and Free Electives — including Project and Writing Skills courses
- CME Master Thesis
Graduation Domains
In your final year, you choose one of three graduation domains:
Design & Integration
Management processes to understand context and realise appropriate, sustainable solutions.
Systems & Decision Support
Models and tools, including BIM and digital construction, to improve engineering asset and management systems.
Projects & People
Holistic project management with and for people, collaborating across organizations.
